Learning Curve First Keys Teether User Review
My 4 month old son absolutely LOVES these keys, and will not put them down for anything! Sometimes we have to pry them away from him when it’s time for him to go to bed! They’re the perfect size for his little hands. He loves shaking them to get a rattle noise, and also chewing on them as he’s been teething for about a month now. I think they’ll be a great teaching tool when he grows older since they have different colors, shapes, and are numbered. I plan on buying an extra set (or two!) since they’re so cheap, and it would be nice to have a backup set in case they get lost, or if they get dirty and I can’t get to washing them right away.

Learning Resources Calendar and Weather Pocket Chart User Review
This seems to have pretty much everything we needed to learn / teach about the calendar, months of the year, days of the week, yesterday, today, tomorrow, weather… it’s got a lot. I like the fact it has blank cards so we can add special days of our own like grandparents day, friendship day, arbor day. We don’t actually celebrate these but who knows, maybe we will at some point.
I like that the numbers for days are double-sided with red and black. I put the days that have already passed on black and the current day as well as those coming up in red so they can get a better visual.
Some things I found were that since there are a lot (!) of cards to be stored when they’re not in use the pockets at the bottom aren’t really big enough to hold everything inside. My solution was to turn most of the longer cards on their sides and just left them vertical. No biggie for me but that might bother someone who has to have everything out of sight if it’s not being utilized. Another thing I did was to separate the school cards (100th day, 1st day, “no school” days,) the holidays, & the cards for other things like birthdays (cakes or balloons & hats) and flags for federal holidays. I put them into 3 separate sandwich bags so they wouldn’t get mixed up together and then just put them in the yellow bags at the bottom of the calendar.
One thing I noticed was I had to throw out several year cards. I got rid of 2006, 2007, 2008, & 2009 with one swift toss into the recycling bin. Time sure flies sometimes. Maybe it would have been better to have 4 slots available to insert for the year instead of just one card, but I wasn’t on the team for product development. There are still 4 or 5 years left to go before they run out too. But honestly my only real gripe about this product is that it doesn’t include any hardware to hang it up. I managed with screws through the holes at the top though.
The material seems very durable and should stand up to my 4 quite well. Overall this is a great investment (and fun too.)

Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learning Farm User Review
why does the sound come out of one side only? This is a two-sided activity toy and has lots of different sounds/songs etc. However, it really bothers me that if we are playing on the side with the cow & blue ribbon, the sound will come out on the other side by the light-switch. It confuses my daughter when she activates the cow bell on her left and then she hears noise from the right. I think there should have been a sound function at the TOP so you could atleast hear it from both sides equally.
Secondly, although it wasn’t too difficult to put together at all, why did they have us put in about 20 screws? Couldn’t they have put together the red barn parts and just had us add on the legs?
It is a lot of fun though and I myself don’t even get bored playing with it.

Vtech Infant Learning Touch and Learn Storytime User Review
I bought this for our 18 month old son for Christmas. He has loved it from the first time he saw it. He loves books and being read to and I thought this would be a good toy for him since he can control the story and repeat things/functions. It reads the story to you, there are multiple songs to each book and you learn objects, animals, the alphabet, etc. It gives a book loving kid an opportunity to read books by himself and learn. Our son can identify every letter of the alphabet and is close to saying his ABC’s – he absolutely loves this toy! I highly recommend this product.
As a side note, when my husband saw this he said, “I’d have never bought that!” He was surprised at how much enjoyment he’s gotten out of it.
