Fisher-Price Mickey’s Silly Cellphone User Review

My two year old daughter loves electronic devices (watches brother play DS), Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the telephone, so this was a no brainer for us. She loves to play with it. It does appear to make some phantom noises when not being played with and is generally in the annoying toy camp, but always brings joy to my daughter. Would recommend.

Fisher-Price Friendly First’s Ducky Rattle Stacker User Review

I will admit that I was sorely tempted to buy the original Fisher Price stacker, the one we all had as kids. It’s absolutely a classic and I may still obtain one of them.

But I was drawn to this one for my 5-month old because I remember reading somewhere that it is slightly smaller than the classic version with the large plastic hollow donuts. I thought smaller might work better for the little guy. Well. Since this toy has come into the house, not a day has gone by without at least one play session where he selects this toy to play with from among a lot of others.

Now 8 months old, he still loves this one. He tips over the base to let the rings fall free, takes one in each hand, and shakes them like tambourines. He smacks them together and has a grand old time. He is not at all interested in re-stacking them on the base, but that’s fine with me because it just means the toy will last a while longer while he grows into that phase.

The topper on this stacker is the red ring with the little chick. This part does not rattle, which is a little bit of a shame. It also wedges kind of tightly onto the top of the base, so baby can’t remove it himself, but that’s OK.

I am very very pleased with this purchase. I have subsequently looked at some of the other stackers on the market and I am convinced this one is the cream of the crop.

Fisher-Price My First Dollhouse User Review

I recently purchased this toy for my 2 year old granddaughter. She has never had a toy that conquered her attention but this one does. She plays with it on a daily basis and refers to the dolls as “my mommy” “my daddy” and “my baby”.

When I ordered this item, the description stated there were sounds and this resulted in returning the first doll house, because it had no sound, and receiving a replacement which did not have sound either. In checking directly with Fisher Price, I found they stopped making the houses that make sounds in 2005. Amazon has now updated this page to reflect that information.

In the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, Wal-Mart and Target do not carry this item nor do they carry the furnishings. Toysrus is the only place I have been able find them though, with Christmas coming, this could change.

Amazon has the furniture, however, I bought the grandma and stroller set at Toysrus considerably cheaper than listed here at Amazon. The other furniture, however, is relatively priced on Amazon and taking into consideration taxes and driving to a store, I would suggest purchasing online.

Fisher Price has a newer, bigger dollhouse which is similar in contrast to “My First Dollhouse”, however, for a 2 year old, the pieces are more complicated and harder for a little one to keep up with.

“My First Dollhouse” is a wonderful introduction to playing house, and the perfect first dollhouse for any child.

Fisher-Price Imaginext Ultimate Dino User Review

My 4 year old son wanted this really bad for Christmas. I hesitated because of the price and the fact that he never plays with any toys for very long, but I couldn’t disappoint him. He loved it and played with it everyday for over a month, until the mouth stopped working. I am so glad I read some other reviews to learn this is a common problem and not something he did to break it. I called Fisher Price and they are sending a mailing label for me to return it and they will send a new one. No original box or receipt required! While I’m disappointed that it malfunctioned, I’m very happy, at least at this point, about the customer service. Hopefully we’ll have better luck with the next one.

A Fearsome New Friend
This awesome oversized, plastic dinosaur stands 27 inches tall, with textured green skin, a yellow underbelly, gnarly teeth, and plenty of serious spines–enough to make any young dino-enthusiast swoon. Before Spike is ready to roam the Earth, you’ll need to snap his legs and tail into place. These pieces are color coded to prevent confusion, and the instruction booklet offers a nice illustration. Make sure all three connection points on each front leg are securely attached, otherwise he’ll struggle to walk.

You’ll also want to fully charge the included NiMH rechargeable battery before kids get their hands on this dinosaur, a process which may take up to four hours. With all the use Spike will be getting, you’ll enjoy the long life of this power solution. The convenient wireless remote requires three AA batteries (not included) for operation.

Innovative and Easy to Control
As soon as you turn him on, spikes on this long-necked dinosaur’s back and tail light up, and he starts blinking his eyes. Big, kid-friendly buttons on the durable remote control let you make Spike walk forward, turn left or right, and swing his neck around. At first he can be a little tricky to maneuver, but with just a few moments of practice, he becomes incredibly easy to control.

Holding down any one of the four middle buttons unleashes a new action. Pick between having him stand on his hind legs, swinging his neck around while unleashing a huge roar, or hanging his head low. Another button controls the motion of his jaw. Practice combining movements to snatch up the plastic boulders off the ground or toss them in the air (a skill we never perfected). There’s even a mystery button that lets Spike pick any motion he wants to perform. Press it again and again to get a sense of his playful nature. Two modes let you pick between having continuous background music accompany play or just hearing occasional growls, snorts, and roars.

Durable and Adventurous
The well-crafted Spike was still going strong, even after our vigorous testing. We crashed him into table legs trying to make him crawl over obstacles that were just too high, and even though he might not have been happy about the way we dropped the remote control repeatedly, he kept right on doing all those dinosaur things that make him a fun addition to any family. While this ultra dinosaur held up well in the face of vigorous use, he could succumb to the rough reality of enthusiastic play and be damaged by children sitting on him or pulling apart his otherwise sturdy joints.

Spike’s large size makes him a great outdoor playmate, but be sure to warn kids that, since he is battery-operated, he shouldn’t play in streams or jump in puddles. Cooperative kids will love putting their heads together to think up new places for their friend dinosaur to explore. The height and length that make Spike so much fun may make it hard for smaller children to carry him around, especially if they are headed to a far off relative’s house. While this dinosaur is recommended as a companion for children three through 10, even adults are likely to be charmed by Spike’s fun-loving personality.

Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn Say Please Tea Set User Review

This tea set was given to my daughter on her 1 year old birthday by my Aunt. At first she put it aside, but in about a month when the other toys had become “old” she pulled this one out. Now, 4 months later she still plays with it. She likes all the different modes with the songs, counting,etc… The tea pot is her favorite part and she quickly learned how to make it “pour” tea over and over. The sound is not so loud that it annoys the others in the room. It is a toy she will carry all around the house because it’s just the right size for her hands and for her to carry while walking. We LOVE this toy!

We got the Power Wheels for our son’s third birthday. He had the smaller 2 year old type ATV and had outgrown it. It took about two minutes for him to be on the Power Wheels that we realized he wanted more speed. So we connected the throttle and he was off! He rides all over our large yard, we even took him on some horse trails. Traction is pretty good but why can’t anyone put rubber wheels on these things? So long as the grass isn’t too wet he gets enough traction. He also needs a push when he tries to come from the side walk up onto the grass (our grass is much higher than the sidewalk), but overall it’s a hit. He is learning to lean and acquire some basic riding skills. We love it and would buy it again.

The Batman Lights and Sounds Trike is a favorite for my 2 yr. old Grandson. He is still too short to use the pedals but he pushes with his feet. He sometimes hits his feet on the back wheels but he is still enjoying the product. My son attached a handle on the back to use as a pusher when the child is on the Trike. So far that is not too successful because the child does not keep his feet on the pedals. A project in progress.

My Mother-In-Law got this for my son when he was six months old. He has played with these blocks pretty much everyday since then. They are small and light and easy for those little teeny hands to grab. When he first got them he would bang the blocks together, bang the blocks on the bucket, and then grab the bucket with his feet and study it. Then he tried to grab two blocks at once. Then three. He would grab the blocks out of the bucket. We stack them, he knocks them down. He grabs the lid and bangs it on everything in sight. Now that he’s figuring out how to put things into other things he’ll put the blocks into everything, into the middle of his stackable rings, into buckets, into the actual bucket and occasionally he’ll place a block on top of the lid and then look at me like – did I do that right? We’re also now putting just the lid on the floor and setting the blocks into the right holes so he can see what goes where, which he is very interested in.

I love it that some day, when he’s older, he’ll make the connection between the actual block and cutout shapes and start putting the blocks through the correct holes. I think that mental connection is more important then just forcing things through whatever hole they happen to fit in. I guess eventually babies will get the concept either way but for us this is the perfect shape sorter.
