Zubber Bands User Review
I got this for less in a closeout type store as something to do with my kids on a rainy day. Today was that day. We made bracelets and had a lot of fun doing it. I will tell you straight away that you can only make one at a time, so if you have two kids, buy two. You also have to be careful and mix correctly, and be frugal. 12 bracelets seems a bit optimistic, but you know what, it is great to make custom bracelets. My kids do not have very common names, so they never find anything with their names on it. This is perfect. You cannot write all the way around the bracelet, so a long message is out. Still, the kids had a lot of fun. It takes a bit longer than 10 minutes to set (might be humidity and/or temperature related). Again, here is the need to have multiple kits if you have more than one child. Also, if you have some leftover, which you will, you can make something else. These are NOT going to be as durable as the bands you buy in the store that are rubber, but those are likely injected molded and use a different material. I started with one kit, I am buying 5 more just to have around. The package says it is non-toxic, however, it can STAIN, so play area should be isolated. We used it in our breakfast nook, and the table is non-porous, so clean up was easy. You could probably use play dough accessories to “invent” more uses for this, but the coolest thing is a band. It’s great to make some in advance for birthday gift bags, etc.. I wish they would make a $[...] party kit. It would be well worth it, if there were enough material, etc. Mixing is easy. You will get an oily film on your hands, but it easily washes off. Oh, I almost forgot, you can make multi-color bands, and if you are really good (I am not) you could probably make inlay designs within the band. If you want somethng to fill up some time and have fun with the kids, give this a try.
